For those
clients who want to see dolphins underwater, (and that means
almost everyone), we have a specially designed swim bar so that
even if the dolphins are moving faster than people can swim,
they will be able to see them close alongside. In this situation
common dolphins will typically swim underneath or alongside,
sometimes one or many dolphins come closer than a metre and
they stay there long enough to thoroughly check out swimmers.
Close enough that underwater pictures taken by a cheaper waterproof
camera can be successful.
Swimmers will probably hear dolphins vocalising. They make a
very high pitched noise, nothing like the flipper squeaks of
TV fame.. Dolphins become curious and seem happy to be close
to swimmers on the swim bar. The swim bar is definitely the
most successful way to get close to dolphins, to come face to
face with them on their own terms. It is an amazing experience.
